Who is conducting this raffle?
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation (TWRF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit is conducting this raffle under authorization from the Tennessee General Assembly and the Tennessee Secretary of State.
How much does a raffle ticket cost?
Raffle tickets are $20 each, 3 for $50, or 10 for $100.
How many tickets can I buy?
You may purchase as many tickets as you wish.
When will I get my ticket(s)?
As soon as your ticket(s) are purchased, you will receive an email confirming your purchase. You will receive your ticket(s) number on the confirmation page and email receipt. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please be sure to check your SPAM/JUNK Folders
How many raffle tickets will be sold?
There is no limit on the number of tickets for sale.
What are my odds of winning?
The odds of winning a raffle prize depends on the number of tickets you purchase, and the total number of tickets sold.
Is my raffle ticket tax-deductible?
No. The IRS’s position is that amounts paid for chances to win in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are wagers, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions.
When are the ticket purchase deadlines and drawings?
Ticket Purchase Deadline: Sunday August 20, 2023 at 11:59PM (CST).
Drawing: Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Winners will be announced live at the Tennessee Fish & Wildlife Commission meeting on Aug 25, 2023. We will post a link to the live video feed on our website. Winners will be contacted with a phone call.
What are the hunt dates?
2023 Tennessee Conservation Elk Tag hunt – October 14-20 EHZ1; October 21-29 all zones.
President’s Island Deer Hunt – October 20-22, 2023 and December 1-3, 2023
Reelfoot Lake Waterfowl hunt – Jan 27-28, 2024. Hunt dates may be adjusted based on outfitter availability.
Are non-residents eligible to receive the Tennessee Lifetime Sportsman’s Licenses in the TN Hunting Heritage Package?
No. Tennessee Lifetime Sportsman’s Licenses are only available to residents of Tennessee. However, if the winner of the prize package is a non-resident, he or she may transfer or gift the licenses to four Tennessee residents (see package details for eligibility and application requirements). No cash equivalent will be awarded. In the event the winner of the TN Hunting Heritage Prize Package is a non-resident, the winner will be responsible for identifying up to four qualified individuals to receive the Tennessee Lifetime Sportsman’s Licenses. The original winner must sign an affidavit declaring their intentions and provide the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation with complete applications for each person to receive a Tennessee Lifetime Sportsman’s License. The individuals selected do not have to be family members of the raffle winner.
When is the drawing held?
The electronic drawing will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. The top ten winners will be announced at the August 25, 2023 TN Fish & Wildlife Commission meeting.
How will winners be notified?
The winners will be notified by phone and/or email using the contact info provided when purchasing the tickets in order to make their prize package selection.
Can I be entered into just one prize drawing?
No. There is only one drawing. Every ticket sold will be eligible for all of the prizes.
Can I win more than one prize?
Yes. If you purchase more than one ticket, you are eligible to win more than one prize. Each ticket is assigned a unique identification number and every remaining ticket number is eligible to be drawn after the previous winning number is drawn.
Do I have to be present at the drawing to win?
No. You do not need to be present to win.
Are previous year’s winners still eligible?
What if I don’t like, or I am unable to accept the prize I win? Is there a cash alternative?
No. There are no cash alternatives to the prizes won. If a winner does not accept the prize, another winner will be drawn from the remaining tickets.
How do I claim my prize(s)?
Once the winning numbers have been drawn, TWRF staff will contact each winner beginning with the first number drawn in order to make the prize package selection. Please be sure to call us back ASAP if we reach your voicemail. If your prize package contains a firearm, you must submit a completed FFL form and successfully pass a firearms background check.

Can the winner sell any of the hunts?
Are any of the tags transferable?
If the winner is unable, or chooses not to participate in the hunts, he or she can choose to transfer the tag to an eligible hunter, one time. No monetary gain can be made in the transaction. Once a tag has been transferred, it cannot be transferred again.
What about licenses/regulations for the hunting packages?
All prize winners must abide by the rules and regulations established by the TFWC and published in the 2023/2024 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide. The winner must possess all applicable licenses and/or permits to legally participate in the hunts.
I tried to place an order and it said my order failed/credit card declined. I know i have money on this card. What do I do?
The issue more times than not is that your credit card issuer declined the charge because they classified it as suspicious. Call the card issuer at the phone number printed on the back of the card and explain what you are trying to purchase. 99% of the time this will fix the issue.
